ADULTS GROUP FITNESS CLASSES
Our group fitness classes are extremely popular and you won’t find a more supportive and welcoming environment regardless of your fitness level.
There is a huge variation in ages and fitness levels but it’s all irrelevant. Everyone is equal and there’s no judgements as everyone is too busy sweating to care about what others are doing.
We have 5 main group class types…
HYROX, ATHX, BURN, HIIT FIT & FRIDAY NIGHT WEIGHTS,
We also have a unique small group personal training product that offers “everything you need all under one roof” including training & online nutrition coaching (seperate page).
You can either pay per class or join our Group Fitness membership.
AJ’s Gym Burn…
Burn is our Monday evening class @ 6:30pm which is a 60 minute giant circuit that combines functional strength with a lot of cardio.
The aim of the session is simple…burn as many calories as you can.
Using our MYZONE heart rate monitor system you can track your live workout progress on the big screen.
If you are looking to lose weight, get stronger, fitter and healthier then this is an essential class to attend.
The ATHX™ Games is an event which is extremely challenging and combines 3 phases.
Phase one is a set strength test involving Barbells.
Phase 2 is a cardio test involving the Bike Erg and Running (12 minutes each where you have to cover as many meters as you can).
Phase 3 is a brutal set Metcon routine to be completed as fast as possible.
At AJ’s Gym we love this event and have created a programme that accommodates all levels of ability.
Each class is a structured workout plans designed to help athletes build strength, endurance, and capacity, and maximize their performance on the competition floor.
The ATHX™ Games group classes are designed for athletes of all levels, from beginners to seasoned competitors.

What is ATHX?
Peterborough Hyrox Hub classes…
We have our Peterborough Hyrox Hub classes on a Wednesday evening at 18:30pm and on a Saturday morning at 09:00.
Each session is based around developing everyone’s fitness ready for events and simulate the fatigue you will feel during races.
These sessions are tough but we accommodate all levels of ability.
Members also get the opportunity for early bird ticket access to UK Hyrox events.
What is HIIT FIT?
Our AJ’s Gym HIIT Fit is a very popular class that involves alot of punchbag striking (both punches and kicks), bodyshield striking with AJ in the ring, tons of ab burning exercises and fat burning cardio and endurance.
You will not get hit in this class it’s all circuit style based and suitable for all fitness levels.
You will need to bring your own gloves for this class. Don’t forget to bring them.
Friday Night Weights…
Friday Night Weights is our 18:15pm 45 minute weights only circuit.
Don’t be fooled though this session is fun and doesn’t involve any cardio but it is still tough.
We call this session our “beach weights session” as we use the dumbbells, barbells, cable machines etc.
